THROUGH THE ARCH
You never see the monument directly. You always see it through something. This arch frames it. Holds it. Mediates between you and the thing you came to witness. The Taj Mahal sits perfect and distant, glowing in the golden light, while a solitary figure walks the middle ground, not quite close enough to touch it, not quite far enough to escape it. This is how we experience sacred things. Not directly. Always through architecture. Always through frames. Always with distance between us and what we're trying to reach. The arch is ornate. Beautiful. Designed to frame exactly this view, exactly this feeling. And it works. The monument becomes more beautiful precisely because it's framed. Because there's darkness around it. Because you have to look through something to see it. Maybe that's the point. Maybe the frame is the answer.
